Robbins R.1 (Italian/Macassar)
Aside from the unique and beautiful look of this guitar, it has a tone that will leave you
bewildered. The Italian-spruce soundboard adds sweetness to the top-end that is a lovely
contrast to the dark, fundamental sound of the Macassar ebony. There is a remarkable amount
of string-separation and clarity to this guitar, considering the warm tone it projects. Many
would see this as a modern fingerstyle-guitar but take a flatpack to it and you will be in heaven,
the Italian/Ebony combo has some serious projection to it. You can play slow or fast-paced
arrangements and nothing gets lost. Nothing short of an inspiring guitar from Tyler Robbins!
