Goodall RCJ Engelmann your Spruce/Honduran Rosewood
Here’s a real stunner from James and Luke Goodall. Have played at least 5 “Concert Jumbos” as they are called, and this one is easily my favorite. There is a special quality to the sound of the Engelmann spruce/Goodall voicing combination that just tugs at the heart strings. For a 16″ rosewood guitar there is a lovely helping of mids making this a joy to record. The signature Goodall overtones and “3D” sound can be heard, bringing a beautiful quality to fingerstyle pieces such as this one from Dustin Furlow.
