Description
2017 Osthoff Jumbo Brazilian Rosewood/Mastergrade Italian Spruce
Just in to Cedar Rock is this extraordinary instrument in truly extraordinary condition, this custom creation from John Osthoff is about as elegant a baritone as you can imagine, with an impressive mixed-material rosette inlay, rope purfling and a fossilized walrus saddle and pins and nut. It has beautiful Brazilian rosewood back and sides! The Italian spruce top keeps the sound clear and direct all the way down to the low B. The bass response is throaty, the mids prominent and the treble snappy yet subdued enough to avoid overtonal confusion when playing full chords. While definitely a large guitar (considering it’s a jumbo with a longer-scale neck), it’s eminently comfortable to play.
