Here we have a very special and unique guitar that is unlike anything we have ever had pass through the shop. A guitar that somehow manages to bridge the gap between a thunderously-loud, large bodied tone while maintaining a sweet, open, lush midrange that a modern OM or even a 00 would have. Its a spectacle to hear and see where the bar has been set with this one in terms of what a modern, modified dreadnaught can offer. The headroom is just as impressive as its response to the lightest touch, truly a treat to play and hear from the other side. For those who don’t know, Tom took one of the last available Ervin Somogyi voicing courses earlier in his career and as a result learned how to make an extremely responsive guitar. The tops and active backs of his instruments work in harmony much like a drum and as a result the whole body feels alive on your lap.
